From Waterloo's Owner

Well, this is a nice surprise. Waterloo is a terribly spoiled dog, used to having his way! He is just a baby puppy but he also knows how to wiggle around and charm people to get his way. He thinks he is so cute. You people with pets know how that goes.

He also doesn't know how to keep a secret. He says whatever is on his mind, so when I went to see him today to gauge his progress, he told me all. I didn't pay these people to teach him computer skills... a little spelling and grammar, yes. How to obey commands, yes. But, computer skills?

He also told me of his plans to escape. Escape? Where would he go? When I asked him where he would go, he told me he would be coming home. He doesn't know how to get home. It's Riverside to Los Angeles! Do you people know how many miles that is? Escape indeed! I think he'll be here longer than I thought. Also, I could use the extra time for shopping. Summer clothing, you know. You wouldn't wear last year's styles, would you?

He's still not house trained!

Waterloo, my girls only go into crates when I leave the house, and one sleeps in hers. Not a big deal, they go in and out of the crates all day long, and so does my cat. They love the treats I stuff into their Kongs when I leave and it keeps them from getting bored. I hope your mom gets one for you. Tell her to seal the ends with peanut butter, not that expensive stuff they sell at the pet store. By the way, your profile says that you were born in 1988. You can't still be a puppy if you're 20. What gives?

Wal-Mart carries puppy pads...use them until he/she can control the bladder a little more...move them closer and closer to the door, until you can go out side all the time. Plus with the pads if there is an accident easier to clean up.

Waterloo, you are the cutest little puppy I've seen in a long time! I hope your owner lets you come home soon. My girls stay in crates when I'm gone from the house, too. One of them sleeps in hers at night. My foster dogs also stay in crates when I'm not around and at night. Tell mom to give you a baby kong with some treats in it and it won't seem so bad.

One of my five cats, Hobbes, told me about Waterloo's blog. Hobbie blogs here, too. Maybe they will become fast friends. I will make sure Hobbes does not teach your puppy how to open beer bottles, though!
