Yesterday, I woke up in Ft. Myers, FL, to 70 degrees and a zillion percent humidity. The weatherman had promised lower humidity for the last half of the week, but he claimed it was going to start later in the afternoon.
It was 90 or close to it every day for the past week while I was there. I didn't really mind all that much. And I love the way it makes my hair curl.
This morning, it was 49 degrees when I woke up in Georgia. But by the time I had breakfast, it was warming up nicely.
I also noticed that it was 49 degrees back home when I awoke. There's a huge difference in the afternoon temps though. In south Georgia, temps were to climb to 84. In Michigan, temps got all the way up to 52.
I'm writing this from Kentucky since I dawdled around too much to make it all the way home tonight. It's cooler than Florida was but still shirt sleeves and capris weather. Tomorrow morning I suspect I'll have to get out my jeans and a sweater.
The forecast for Michigan on Saturday sounds really dreadful - 36 degrees - with plenty of wind and rain.
I should have stayed in Florida.
