I should be in Florida now. My plane landed about two hours ago and I could have been hot! It was 87 degrees in Ft. Myers today. It was warm here today - about 60 - but we're in for a huge change in weather tomorrow. According to the forecast, our highs will be about equal to her lows all week. I could almost cry!

She called me Friday night to tell me not to come now. The small "leak" in her RV she had mentioned was actually a major flood and the insurance company has deemed it totaled. They are sending a replacement. It won't be delivered until the end of the week - so the earliest she could leave is the middle of next week.

I'm ticked off about this. The flood happened about a month ago, but she didn't deal with it until last week. Aside from the flight cancellation which cost $150 so far, and canceling my pet sitters who may not be available next week when I think I'll need them, I have to cancel her appointment for a neuropsych test. That's scheduled for the 24th. The appointment was made in December and this was the first opening. It takes a month after the test to get a detailed report so we'll be lucky to have a firm diagnosis before July or August.

The reason for the procrastination? She has a boyfriend. She's been seeing him as "just friends" for a few months up here and in the last few weeks it's gotten pretty serious. He's a nice guy according to her friend. My mother says he's cute.
