Alzheimer's Walk

Some of you know my mother has Alzheimer's Disease. It seems to run in my family, as her sister and mother both had it.

I’m participating in the Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk® to raise funds and awareness to fight this disease.

The purpose of the walk is to raise money for research and a possible cure. I hope you will consider making a donation to the cause. My mother is one of the 5 million Americans that have Alzheimer’s. In addition, 78 million baby boomers are approaching the age of greatest risk for developing this fatal disease. Now is the time to ACT to end this epidemic!

The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer care, support and research, and funds I raise will go directly toward supporting their efforts.

Your support will make a difference. Will you consider making a donation? It’s easy to give online by following the link below.

Alzheimer's Walk

If you prefer, you can mail your donation. Contact me and I'll give you the address, etc.

Thank you in advance for your time and generosity – together, we can help end Alzheimer’s!

I didn't see that story but I have read that lots of people don't want to be tested. I won't be surprised if I get it. I just hope there are better meds by then.

There was a segment on Alzheimer's last evening on Nightly News. Families with a history were studied and a gene was identified. Amazing how many people don't want to know in advance if they will develop the condition. Testing will take place on people in their 40s (too lat for us) but if a treatment is effective, the epidemic won't be as large as predicted.
