I am invited to a surprise birthday party tomorrow night. The birthday boy is turning 80. His family is hosting an open house at a local restaurant. It should be an interesting mix of guests. I know him from my fitness center. We take a couple of classes together. He is a retired fireman so there should be BGFD people. He is active in the Catholic Church and has lived in his neighborhood for 50 years so there should be friends and neighbors. He is presently volunteering at the Police Department so the BGPD will be represented. This could be social event of the fall. My daughter questions the wisdom of surprising an 80 year old.
