Here on the ranch, it is definitely cold!!! As usual, I'm having troubles sleeping so I thought I would blog. When I first clicked on here, my temperature gauge said zero. But, I see it is still falling and fast. I'm down to -2degrees right now. Ohhhhh shivers!!!!!
I'm sure glad we aren't in to the calving season yet. I'd hate to be out there in the middle of the night delivering calves. Those poor cows are probably wishing they were in California right now.
I've got "idiots" helping me feed. I told them to flake off hay along the side of the road between the house and the corrals. Yesterday, they flaked it off in one big stack just outside the front gate. The poor cows were all crowding around trying to get a bite to eat. They ended up walking all over most of the hay. So today, I explained again about spreading it out along the side of the road. The "idiots" managed to spread it out, but they put it right on the road. Aaaaaugh!!!!! Just can't get good help these days. I'll sure be glad when JR gets home to take charge of this mess. He should be home toward the end of the week.
Okay... I've got to go put some more wood in the stove.
Later ya'll - Annie :o)
p.s. I think it is so cold that hell has probably frozen over. lol
