I copied the picture and I'm putting in an email to my best friend, Marge. We used to spend alot of time together when I lived in California. We went dancing, to the movies, and sometimes drank more than we should. I miss her. She'll get a laugh out of that cartoon pic.

What fun!!!! I wish I had a card group or rather a group with whom I could play board games. I'm not very good at cards, but I love board games. It is good to see you enjoy some time of relaxation rather than work sooooo much. Hey... I like the picture you chose to go with your blog.
Beautiful work. I wish I could knit or crochet, but I've tried and I can't seem to ever get even stitches. I just don't think it is my thing. My Auntie used to make lap covers for the nursing homes. It was relaxing for her to crochet or knit and watch tv in the evenings. I'm sure the people at the nursing homes greatly appreciated her thoughtfulness. Sadly, she has now passed on. We all miss her. Annie
My Auntie and Uncle were involved in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. They had a big boat which they ran on the California Delta between San Francisco and Stockton. They did a lot of boat stuff, including patrols and training exercises. They made some really good friends while they were active. My Auntie didn't make friends easily so it was a really good thing for them. Sadly, they have both passed away now.
By-the-way... I've been enjoying your art at your gallery. I always like to look at your paintings. Also, thanks for the description of Florida. My nephew lives in Florida and he is always telling me that JR and I should buy a ranch there and move our cows to Florida. Personally, I prefer the dry high dessert of Oregon.
I'm so glad you are out finding some peace and quiet. I had often planned to help out with volunteer work for the Yosemite Association of which I am a member. But... I just send them money and have never gone on any of the work outings. Now, I doubt if my back ever allows for any such outing. I guess I waited too long in life. Sooooo, I will just live vicariously through your adventures. Looking forward to hearing all about your trip and to seeing some pictures, too. Have a great time. AnnieL
I didn't realize Takei was 71 years old. But then, I remember that I was 60 years old and had watched Star Trek in high school. Yep... that age must be right.

I'm glad you are enjoying your work. I'd like to move to the coast and work in some little gift shop and visit with the tourist. I think that would be a great life. I probably spend too much time on here. I'm just lonesome here on the ranch. Only dogs, horses, cows, and wild critters to keep me company. Glad you visited Strider.
