Stuck in a Rut

I am not sure what has been up with me the last couple of weeks. Maybe I am burnt out a bit. I hope not because between work, class, the election, and my committees, I have more than enough on my plate to deal with withot having to be done for.

I really have just so totally wanted to do nothing and veg. Sitting on the couch with a good book or watching movies seems like perfection.

Part of the reason why I have not been doing much (*cough* any *cough*) blogging is that I just haven't had it in me to do it. I didn't want to log on to my computer. I didn't feel like I had anything to talk about.

I was glad to come and visit everyone and hear about their lives. I did my usual commenting on their blogs and stayed interactive in that way.

I just hope whatever is up ends soon. I really need to be able to get into the routine if I am going to keep up with everything.

To make it more interesting, I picked up my school year hours again, which means I am working Sunday and Friday afternoons again. That means I will only be off from the library every other Saturday.

Heck, no. No corn maze for me this year. Although I do miss it, I just didn't have it in me to do it again. I would have only been able to work there one day a week, for maybe 4-5 hours on each of those days, so it was also difficult for me to rationalize giving up the one free day a week I could count on when I am now working so much at the office. A lot of that corn maze work was to get out of the house and to make some extra money (although some was for fun and to be a part of a great thing), but I am getting out of the house every day now and I am currently making more money than this time in other years when I did work the corn maze. I do miss it a little, though, so nothing says I won't consider returning there in future years.

I've been finding the same thing is happening to me. Working Mon-Fri at the office, taking part in different activities on weekends, working on a project for contacting all high school classmates to get them connected online, doing the housecleaning jobs on some Saturdays and my own whenever I can, trying to catch some of my favorite shows on TV (sports, Amazing Race, for instance), and keeping up with other odds and ends just keeps me from wanting to sit in front of the computer sometimes. I'd rather collapse in my chair and veg in front of the TV or just go for a walk to get some fresh air and clear my head. Writing seems like too much work right now (and too time consuming), but I do miss everybody, do want to contribute more again, and really do hope to catch up and get up to speed again. I, therefore, understand what you are saying...completely!

Well, goodness! You've been burning the candle at both ends! You've been doing a LOT. I think you need a little rest... It will do you good.

You need some traction there to get out of the rut.
Think about and envaulate your life.
You do not want to get in any deeper.

Ray already does the cards thing on Saturday nights. The problem is they start at 5 and I work every other Saturday until that time.

Oh you poor workoholics who do not know how to delegate or take on too much knowing they are and then complain!!!!
Now if you would get a group of people together on a Satyrday evening to play cards and dish you might not feel as much pressure--hey--3 yaers and I'm still trying to get you a social life!!!
