True Blood

Well, it looks like I got involved with the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris just in time. I recently finished through all the ones that are out so far. This past Sunday, a new show called True Blood started. It is based on the books.

It is produced by Alan Ball, the creator of Six Feet Under. I was so excited when I heard that it was going to be made into a show. I knew that it could be really good. Of course, that was no sure thing. I saw The Dresden Files on the SciFi Newwork, which was a real crappy show based on a great series.

Fortunately, it looks like the True Blood is going to be pretty good. It seem to be pretty close to the story in the first novel so far, though, it is pretty explicit with the sex!

I did not think I was going to be able to watch it last night. Ray is not really into the whole vampire thing so I figured I was going to have to tape it. I even set the DVR. Well, he went downstairs for about 10 minutes during the show. He told me not to erase the show from the machine because he wanted to watch the scenes that he missed. I guess that means he liked it, too!

I can't wait until next week!

Really interesting and arresting. I saw it. A different take on the vampire for sure. But what the heck is the girl? I'm thinking she's a hybrid of some kind

oooo....nothing I like better than a good creature feature. unfortunately, I don't have HBO but mebbe I can impose on friends who do. I do get the Sci-Fi channel however, and it has some interesting sounding new shows this season.

Ah, the sex scenes--that's why it is on HBO--Ball is a good director (and, in case you don't know not that it has anything to do with his work, he is gay)--I KNEW you would be watching this--right now I have too many series to watch: Weeds, Dexter, Enterouge, Bill Mahr, Penn & Teller, The closer, Raising The Bar, Monk, Pschye and then all those on broadcast TV like
America Got talent, Big Brother, Law & Order not to forget the old movies on TCM and the new ones on Sundance--TOO MUCH TV!!!
