I've fed my dogs the nutura brand for years. They have done very well on it. I read that Ben and Jerry's thing on the web this morning. Yes... I must admit... it grossed me out. But then... my mother didn't nurse me either... so maybe that is my problem.

Great blog. You should meet the idiots that run the Planning Commission in our area. Of course, when I lived in California, I also had to deal with the Planning Commission in that area. I think they all came from the same idiot family.

Sorry you got canned.. but glad you got to keep the girl.

Ohhhh... it is so beautiful. I've always wanted to see your part of the country in the fall. Maybe... someday.

I just hate moving. It is hectic! My ex used to build houses and we would move in until they sold. I've moved more than I care to remember. I think I will live on this ranch until I die and then they can bury me here.

It will be really nice when you are finally settled. Also, nice to have a day off.

Love & hugs - Annie :o)

I almost ordered that book for my iPod. Now... I won't bother. I don't like predictability.

Ohhhh.... I'm sorry you feel so badly. I wish I were there to make you some tea and to turn down your bed when you got home from work. I could read you a story. My caregiver did those things for me when I was still hurting so much from back surgery. It felt so good to have someone really care for me. Just think of me tonight and know that in my heart, I'm thinking of you. ((((hugs)))) AnnieL

From the experience of another retired teacher.... let it all go. I had purchased enough teaching materials to teach 5 classes at one time. Many of them hadn't been opened or used. They were brand new. The lady who took the long term sub position (I left in the middle of the year) bought alot of that new stuff for $75 at the end of the year. She wanted to give me only $25. It was worth hundreds of dollars. Also, she had allowed the children to abuse my books, but I collected them and brought them home. I later gave them away to a library for nothing. I should have just let her keep them, so I wouldn't have to haul them from California to Oregon. I did give alot of stuff to a couple of friends of mine who were just starting out teaching. I believe that my house is now completely empty of teaching stuff... which is a good thing. Unless you plan on teaching again... just let it go.

As for the rug... I'm not sure I would want it after it has been in someone else's house.

Good luck Angie with whatever you decide to do.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your job. I was a cashier at a drugstore when I was first out of high school. I remember I really enjoyed interacting with the customers. But... sometimes... I had some who were jerks, too. That really was a long long time ago.
