Most of you know how much I like the Carpenters. Much of the music is sad, but it does reflect my life. There are happy songs, too.
This particular video was filmed at the Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena/San Moreno, CA. This was a favorite spot that my dear friend Richard and I would spend many a Saturday or Sunday. During the week, I would sometimes go there to write or read. I considered it my own private garden. It always amazes me how many films and videos that are filmed in this beautiful setting.
I miss my friend Richard who passed away March 31, 2001 at age 48. I also miss the Huntington. Most of all I miss visiting all the places that Richard and I visited.
P.S. I really wish I had someone with whom to travel... a soulmate.

thanks for sharing. Great song & beautiful video
i like the Carpenters too partly because i am a carpenter myself as for Richard here is something to cheer you up: the vet told a couple they had to put their dog to sleep they asked to let their little boy watch the dog go to sleep and when he slept they tried to explain that dogs have shorter life than people and to end their suffering they had to do what they did and so on what the boy said surprised them "Well we came to bring happiness to others and when we have done what we came here for we go back to where we came from." Try looking at life from this clever boy's perspective.
That Carpenters are totally awesome! AJ
I can't see video's at work, so I'll have to watch at home. But I do like the Carpenters music.
Karen Carpenter had the purest voice I've ever heard. What a talent.
I LOVE the Carpenters songs and grew ups singing them for fun and in junior high and high school chorus!! I can sing with her because we are both altos!! I am sorry to hear about your friend Annie!!
