I googled this picture, but I thought it was really cool. It reminds me of our fall mornings around here that are now a bit chilly. By mid-day, it will have warmed considerably and I see the forecast says it will get into the high 80's or low 90's. It reminds me of when I used to ride the bus to school. In the mornings was sweater or light jacket weather and the afternoon ride home had us opening all of the windows trying to cool down.
I'm up early this morning and enjoying the early rays of the sun and the long long shadows they are casting across the yard. As I was sitting in my chair by the window and enjoying my morning coffee, a chipmunk was sitting on the sill soaking in the morning sun. I guess he is trying to get warm, too. He seems to have been hanging around here lately and it is fun to watch him eating, bathing, and stretching.
I did have all the gates closed last night so the stray cows stayed out of my yard. I've got to get hold of the neighbor to come get his cows. There are 15 of them and they are eating our rye. We need that feed for our cows as they will be coming home from summer pasture in the next few weeks. You should see the spring calves. They are huge!!!! This was the first year we crossed the Brangus cows with Charolais and so our black cows have white calves. It is turning out to be a very good mix.
Well... on with my day. I'm going to town for a few things and then back home before it gets too warm.
Ya'll have a great day.
Annie :o)
