Blue Holidays

This time of year brings back lots of memories of times past and of people who are no longer in my life. Or those who live such a distance, I seldom see them. I miss those times and those people. It makes me terribly sad.

I'll think about my Grandma and PD's Gramma who both passed away this year. Sorry to AJ aka Lunarhunk but I prefer Elvis's version of Blue Christmas.

It really is a hard time of year in that it highlights all of the people we can't spend the holidays with.
These were wonderful pictures!
Thanks for posting Celine's version! You know how I love her!

The holidays are always a time that brings to mind those that we can no longer celebrate with. Although we may be hundreds or thousands of miles away, you have friends who care and understand that are as close as your mouse (the computer one...lol). Much love Annie.

So sorry, Annie! If I could have just one person back in my life, I would never have another sad Christmas.

Is that you, your first hubby, and daughter in the first pic.? then your two grandsons and your parents in the last pic.? I do understand about being and or getting blue because you can't be with those people now. The last Christmas that we were all together was my Junior year in high school as far as all of my siblings. That was Christmas of 1978. Thirty years ago. The next Christmas my Dad was in the hospital near death and then passed a couple of days after New Year's Day and both brothers were in the military far away. One was in Germany. I finally accepted that it was the last time we were altogether many years ago. The thing about it is at the time I even felt deep within me that was the last time we would all be together. I was 16 at the time. I will have to find that picture somewhere and post it.

((((((((HUGS)))))))))

Love ya,
Jenn
