Yes, us old folks and our meds--I take 11 different ones--as my Doc keeps saying I am paying for my wild youth (but I enjoyed it!) LOL
As a senior citizen with a limited income I am telling you I am hurting--food costs and meds are almost double what they were last year at this time. I, basically, buy the same foods and amounts every Thursday and each week the bill is a little higher. Yes as beautiful as Mother Nature can be she has a few tricks up her sleeve--like poison ivy!!
Yes I did--when I first started 'blogging'--in the Ice Age!!! I've driven to every State, except North Dakota for some reason, in the USA plus been to Hawaii--in the Marines I went to Korea, Japan and as a civilian I've been to South America, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific, Central America, Mexico, many cruises, etc. When I had money I took off every July 15-August 15 for a decade and just traveled.
Beautiful country--I am so glad I traveled all over the USA before I adventured overseas!
One of the greatest memories of my life was driving from Albuquerque to Santa Fe at sunset in my convertible--it was so breathtaking I had to pull to the side and I was just overwhelmed with the beauty. That was 40+ years ago and I remember every moment of that experience! Enjoy your trip.
No matter what anyone says about public education I did get a well rounded excellent one in the Bronx in the 1940s an 50s. Aside from the 3 Rs there was music appreciation, art appreciation, gym, social studies, etc. I may be wrong but all hear now are kids are being 'taught' to the exam. Okay laugh if you want but I feel education started going down the tubes when 'new math' was introduced! By the way I don't mean to slight homeschooling, I have just never experienced it nor do I ever remember ever meeting someone who was homeschooled though I am sure I have, maybe not knowing it!
The girls are adorable---okay, okay, so are you! Just recently I have been thinking of doing a "Ramblings of a 83 year old man" video series but on the other hand I am trying to do LESS computer time!
Reason # 96,793 that I am glad I am not married!! If I want conversation I can have whatever kind I want with me!
They are more then they are in Florida!!
People like to think they got a bargain--might help to say in your ad that "this is the rock bottom price--won't sell for less."
Okay, this may be touchy!I love the heat and humidity but this year I have been feeling it--if I sit in the sun or even go swimming in the sun I get sleepy and I am not a napper! Stay hydrated and don't go out unless you have to. PS Storms here only make it more humid!
Okay you gave me reasons #98,870 and 98,871 to be glad I don't own a home--groundhogs and flooded basements (of course basements are VERY rare in South Florida!!)
I am doing my 'getting rid of things that I haven't seen, worn, used in a year'this week--it's fun!
Ah families! They (we) are a strange group.
I'm happy just where I am and I love summer--don't want to walk into Winter!! PS Get a job you like!
Sorry, I can't help myself!!! "They sent us one of the pictures they took of it using their phone." The moose used the phone?!?!?!?!?
I am sure we do but I don't even know if we have skunks in Fort Lauderdale--we do have alligators, boa constrictors and lizards of all kinds and sizes!!~
