This Oughta Be Good

Yes, I Should

The branch of my family that has ties to the owners of the shipping line that owned the Titanic is having another family reunion in England this fall. I know, you think I should go.

Last week we had snow flurries that were mostly small granular pellets, like Dippin' Dots ice cream.

The demolition on the cabin is done. You probably can't see much difference: it's cleaned up, ready to start work on the elevation phase. This will involve putting those big steel beams through the house and building a scaffolding inside it to stabilize the logs.

In addition to rebuilding the back part, there will be a lot to do on the main part of the house. I think of it as a blank slate.

If you do go, don't take a boat back home.

An excuse to go to England? Yes! Go!

Of course you should go. You have family there and you need a reward
for all the work you have done on the flood repair.

I dislike that kind of snow because it looks like the blue de-icer you sprinkle on your driveway but then slip and fall on because it's round pellets. Who designed that crap! About England, hmm: If I had money I might go but would be tempted to skip the reunion and just have a nice trip.

Yes, go to England. I have never heard of Dippin' Dots ice cream. I am hoping to see grand photos of the cabin when it is finished. Let us know when you leave.

I'm also hoping to see grand photos at the end. The potential builder is coming to look at it next Wednesday. He asked me when I wanted to have the projected completed and I told him 'I don't care, probably by the end of summer or so.' At some point I'm going to be tired of spending money on it and will need a break.
