It was a full-on Catholic mass at the cathedral on the main plaza in Laredo.

Seven bridesmaids dressed in a dark purple. Although you can't see it very well, their hair was beautifully done.

The plaza out front was busy with the annual Jamboozie festival, and part of the reception included the bride and groom riding in the parade.

Members of the wedding party walked behind carrying pinatas on sticks - that's the bride pinata in the photo above.

After the parade, the band handed out props and we had our own carnivale including dancers on stilts.

See that green stick? that is the handle of a big pinata that is riding shotgun all the way home - this one:

All in all, even though it wasn't lavish, it was the most satisfying wedding experience I've ever had.
