The Trench

We still have that trench in the back yard, waiting for the plumber to tell the electrician what kind of electrical line we need, and waiting for the electrician to come install it. I'm tired of waiting, so today I found the right length PVC pipe for it, and fished a rope through it by means of weighting one end with bolts.

Now I think I could fill in the trench, and the electrician can tie whatever he needs to onto the rope and pull it through. Once the trench is filled in, we could wait until next spring to get the project completed.

Eloise:

My cousins in England take care of this pug:

You can see where the phrase 'pug-ugly' comes from; they are so ugly, they're cute.

I have had 3 pugs in my lifetime--I LOVE them--in fact somewhere at the beginning of my 7 Decades series I posted a picture of me with one of them.

They seem like nice little dogs.

I love both of them. Eloise is such a sweet looking kitty. You have a
lot of ingenuity and problem solving ability. I would never have thought of
the rope.

We'll see how impressed the electrician is when he finally gets here. If this rope won't work for some reason, he can at least tie his better rope to it and pull it through. I was tempted to have the steps guys fill in the the trench with the ends of the rope and pipe sticking out, but decided might as well wait for the electrician to finish the job.

How annoying about the trench, but you seem to have solved it. The pix are great. Eloise seems to have settled in. She seems totally comfy. Does she travel well? You will be taking her to Vegas soon, right?

Eloise had a 90-minute car ride to get to our house, and she did well, so I think she will be fine with the journey to Las Vegas. She came with a cat carrier, so we'll probably keep her in that while riding in the car. We have another month here, and then we'll find out.

Aw, how sweet. Did you give Eloise some yarn to play with?
That pug is as cute as dear butts.

I unraveled a scarf project and that was the cast-on that didn't come apart easily.
