The next-door neighbors, which is how we refer to our cabin guests, had an extra ticket to the Rooftop Rodeo, so invited me to go with them. It's called that because we are at high altitude. Other rodeos in this area are the Greeley Stampede and Cheyenne Frontier Days. They are held at different times

We have three kinds of hummingbirds here. Broadtail males have a green back and red throat, Rufous males are orange with orange throat, and Calliope have a green back and a striped red throat, and we don't see them very often. Today we saw one:



The cabin project is coming along. The upstairs loft is mostly finished: hardwood floor, nice woodwork, stained doors into the storage areas to the sides. Today we moved our futon frame and mattress up there. This is a hint to the builders that we are ready to move in. I doubt it will cause them to work faster, but it makes us feel like things are moving forward.
