We are watching the river go up today, and it rained four times. The dry times in between storms give the soil time to absorb some of the runoff from the slopes, so I'm not worried about it getting out of hand. It's starting to dry out, so although we are not as likely to get some more rain, many of the dire runoff predictions a month ago said one of the bad things would be rain falling on the snowmelt. Well, it just spent all day doing that, so we'll see how that plays out.

This was a first time visit by this nice pair of Canadian geese. I think they were eating the flower seeds I planted last week.



The light and power guys came and got the power pole and stump of it that were left in the yard after the flood. It's good to have them gone. I told the guys it's always nice to see them, but I hope it will be a good long time until next time.



The local museum is featuring a traveling Birger Sandzen show this summer. The pictures are on loan from his museum in Lindsborg, Kansas where he taught art at Bethany College for many years, and he summered in this area.
