Maybe one of the most exciting things about the new cabin is the septic system going in. It signals that we are toward the end of the project, even though there is still a lot to do.



I'm sorry the yard has to be dug up because there was grass there that kept the weeds down, but now the disturbed soil will turn into a weed farm and we'll spend years trying to establish the grasses again.

I really like the bathroom mirror. Those are LED light bulbs, and I'm not fond of the brightness of it. I'm working on solutions to tone it down.



Mr. Troutbend made the ladder using various ideas from the Internet. He's keeping track of the value of his labor and maybe he'll expect me to pay him. Purchasing one was going to cost around $2000, so maybe his goal is to beat that price, just for the satisfaction of not spending that money.
