Here's the ladder that Mr. Troutbend made using ideas from YouTube videos. The part at the top has handholds for something to hang onto as you step out onto the upper floor.



The treads from that ladder are made from a deck that washed down during the 2013 flood and got stranded on our bridge.

This is the upstairs loft. For county purposes, it's a storage loft. We reduced the square footage by 2 inches so we wouldn't have to build a real staircase for it. Before the building inspection I need to pile some things on that futon so it looks like storage and not furniture.



Here's the completed kitchen. Mr. YouKnow hung the curtain rods.



The outside still needs to be stained, and it doesn't look much different over the past many months. We spent this weekend spreading dirt around in front so it slopes away from the house.
