It's an admirable quality to be content with how things turned out instead of wishing for more.

The power company in quite a bit of Colorado is Xcel Energy - they had that name before "Excel" as you describe it became so trendy. Our propane company changed its name to Agfinity from Agland about the time that Xfinity was coming into its own, and I pictured those farmer types trying to brainstorm a new name and some bimbo thinks Xfinity with its 'the future of awesome' tagline sounds so progressive, and they can't think of anything else so they agree on Agfinity and go home to the feedlot.

It sounded like a funny name for a theater movie, so I was relieved to discover it's a Great Martin production.

The model is cute - looks like a better-looking Don Draper.

Once they obtain a valid email address, it gets sold to the world. The fake emails always have some spelling or grammar error that alerts us, plus the sender's email address (the full address, not who it says it's from) is something hokey, but I worry that someday they will figure it out and send a professional-looking message and we'll be distracted by a moose wandering across the yard and click on something bad.

OMG. I went to the Wool Market and forgot you asked me to take pictures. But you know what? What was for sale was like your new avatar times 74 booths. There were so many booths with so much stuff it was overwhelming. It seemed like everyone had tons of beautiful yarn, and things made from yarn, and books and accessories for knitters. And spinning supplies. I bought a set of 3 dryer balls, and 2 llama dolls (6 inches) and a trivet for setting hot dishes on with a cute donkey painting on it. As for yarn etc., there was too much to choose from, and too much to see, I didn't know where to begin.

I can understand that reasoning. I see it with charismatic public speakers - they are all charm and magnetism when they are 'on' but once off stage they turn into an introvert who is all sarcasm and condescension.

I don't get to many stage performances, but I'm always impressed at how the directors figure out clever ways to illustrate certain concepts, such as in the Lion King where the lake gets sucked into a hole in the stage to indicate drought. And the Lion King costumes in general are so clever.

It's always so disappointing to run into this sort of thing. Last year my husband was scammed out of nearly that amount when he entered a change of address request with the post office. There is a $1 or so legitimate charge, but he clicked on something else and triggered the bigger charge, and he wasn't aware that it'd happened because he doesn't see the credit card statements. I don't know what he was supposed to get from it.

One thing I noticed about Facebook was unless people set up their posts to go to family only, or however that works, their Facebook Friends end up seeing all the family drama where they actually have disowned one another for being for or against Trump. It was along the lines of: "Linda, I always thought you were an idiot, and now you've removed all doubt." Linda wrote: "Well, nuts to (she didn't use those words) you, the only reason I ever even gave you the time of day was because you were married to my dad and that stops now." I wanted to chime in with: 'please, too much information' but didn't want them to realize I was sort of eavesdropping. Stupid Facebook.

Here at our house, it's a good year for flowering bushes. I have honeysuckle that my mother planted various places 30 years ago, wild roses, mountain mahogany, and Siberian pea shrub aka caragana. The pea shrub does well in poor soil and drought conditions, grows like a weed. It has seed pods that burst open when ripe, shooting seeds 3 or 4 feet away. We are in the mode of trying to discourage it wherever we can, but up until now it was good vegetation along the bare river banks following our big 1976 flood.

I remember that book well, can't remember if I saw the 1950s movie.

People around here (in Colorado) were setting up smaller windmills to generate a little bit of power and their neighbors complained about the noise, so the town/county had to come up with some kind of regulation about it.
1. One wind generator per lot is allowed.
2. The lot must be at least one acre.
3. The hub height of the wind generator must not exceed 40 feet.
4. The wind generator must be setback from property lines, public right of way and access easements at least 2 times the hub height of the generator.
5. The wind generator must be painted or coated a non-reflective white, gray or other neutral color.
6. The wind generator must not be artificially illuminated.
7. The wind generator must not be used to display advertising.
8. Electrical controls must be wireless or underground and power lines must be underground except for an interconnection to an existing above ground power grid.
9. Noise emanating from the wind generator must be in compliance with Larimer County Code Chapter 30, Article V, Noise.

It's always something.
