We had a landowner meeting for the river restoration coalition. Before we left I told Mr. Troutbend: "I have to keep reminding myself that I can watch what's going on and not get involved; Not my Circus, Not my Monkeys."
And we're sitting there in the meeting, blah-blah-blah, wahnwah-wahnwah, blah-blah-blah, and all of a sudden the conversation has veered to: "...and kudos to Laura, she has designed a database so you all can enter your volunteer hours and flood recovery expenditures. Stand up, Laura and take a bow."
Oh, shoot. Yes, I have set up a preliminary database and tested the concept, but the people I need to give me the stuff to populate it haven't agreed to it yet, and many other things. Now 100 people are looking forward to using this database.
I suppose we all work better under pressure.
