The highway department hydroseeded the side of our driveway today. First, they spray a slurry of native grass seed in water, followed by a slurry of wood fiber that acts as a mulch.
Anything in the way gets sprayed:
Don't worry, in a couple of days it fades to a light brown.

Hope the seed takes hold and grasses return!
They use that spray system in IL too, especially on banks and slopes.
