Our guests left - they washed all the sheets, which was nice. No wonder those women were grumpy - it was not much of a vacation from housework for them. I have a sign on the the washing machine in there telling people not to do the laundry, just put the dirty sheets in the basket and I will wash them, but many of them ignore it.
Tomorrow a young lady and her mother and 6 year old dog are coming for one night and then Mr. Troutbend's cousin-in-law and his hiking buddies come for 5 days. I hope they bring lots of beer to share. They have a website: Two Fat Guys Hiking or something like that which chronicles their hikes to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and up various tall mountains.
Hot on their heels is a family from Nebraska, staying a week, who were here last year. It is nice to get return guests, especially ones who leave the place clean and don't let their kids wreck the yard.
housework tradition while on vacation tells me they don't know
how to free themselves from burdens, nor perhaps do they wish to.

make changes.
