Clueless

We were talking about electronic gadgets and computer software here at the house the other day and I told Mr. Troutbend that we are pretty much clueless about the new technology. If we had some grandchildren they would keep us informed, but we don't, so we're not.

We get by, and are happy in our ignorance, but we know that although there are people more clueless than we are, they are all older than us, and they will die someday and then we WILL be the most clueless people in the world.

Our winter cyclamen is blooming outside by the front door. It dies back in the summer and then recovers in the winter. If we get some freezing weather we'll cover it with a box.

We can get by without it. Adrienne likes to keep her grandma up to date.

You're lucky to have her.

There's always something new, and expensive.

I am clueless and impatient and that is not a good combination when addressing a computer. I can't even operate the remote for the TV but my
four year old granddaugher is a pro.

The neighbor here has grandchildren, I'm thinking they are our ace in the hole.

I am clueless about technology too. I prefer the old school ways of actually writing letters by hand and talking to a person instead of a computer. My daughter was taught how to use a computer in kindergarten. It won't be long before she is ahead of me. You wouldn't believe the technology they have in the classrooms. It's unreal.
That plant is *gorgeous.* Wow. I want me some of that.

Those cyclamens are sold as house plants in a lot of the country. I think they might last for years if you let them rest for a few months. Ours here get water year round from drip irrigation, but during the 110 degree summer months is when they die back.

Sharing tech struggle solidarity, sister.
Your cyclamen is a beauty!

We are so lucky to have a beautiful dependable plant like that cyclamen. We're not known for gardening success.

I totally relate. My friend, Nadine, taught me how to text and I had forgotten all of it by the time she left our driveway.

Once in awhile it crosses our little pea brains that the world is passing us by, but usually we're blissful.

That is too funny about being clueless... I find myself falling into that the older I get. EEK!

It was different when we had jobs, but now that we're retired, we are really out of the loop.
