Max here, super chair scratcher. I am still trying to outwit him. Spray on wicker hasn't helped. But I now close our bed room door and he thinks I can't hear him scratch the chair to wake me up, so instead he scratches the door and that is okay. I'll look in on the website.

A couple of years ago we bought double-sided tape at Petsmart etc. to put on the soft furniture and it cured Buddy of scratching the upholstered furniture. Totally, even after the tape was removed, he doesn't even consider it. He does still claw the side of the mattress to get someone up, and occasionally the carpet.

Those kitties know all they have to do is go in the next room and claw a chair to get us moving. Or act like they are horking up a hairball - that galvanizes us into action.

That's a cute website. They have a good one about how commercial airliners should be laid out - a special kennel area for crying babies in the tail, for one thing.
