There hasn't been a lot of change along the river, but there are a few little pockets of color.

Whether it is the ocean, or a river, there is always something to watch.

We're having a heat wave in October. Tomorrow's forecast high is 26C/79F. Darn it all. Now I get to get my shorts and tank tops out of storage again.

It's been very warm here, too. I'm glad you are having some nice weather there.

The gold is so beautiful, contrasted with the deep green of the evergreens.
I love the Big Thompson.

There are bigger rivers, but I think the interesting features get hidden until the deep water. The Big T is just right for me.

autumn and spring certainly bring out mother nature best

No matter what you tell me, I still think about tunneling through the center of the earth and popping out in your back yard.

Your first photo needs to be put in a nice frame and hung on the wall.
DH and I are going for a hike tomorrow. I'll see what pics I can get.

I've been wondering what your weather has been like lately.

Saw on the news that Denver had snow. Keep it there please.

It's a cold front coming down from Canada, usually our weather comes from the west. Our biggest moisture is what is called upslope - comes from the Gulf of Mexico, and that brings our blizzards.

Great country!

I have some videos of the river with the dippers (birds) singing, just have to compile and get it up to YouTube.

I love seeing the change of seasons---on the Internet!! Good pictures--water does look cold and inviting--our ocean water is still very warm.

I was looking forward to cooler weather, but we went from 78 degrees one day to a high of 36 the next. Kind of a shock.

The Big Thompson looks good throughout the year!!
comment by steve on Oct 5, 2012 3:58 PM ()
It really does. Every day I spend some time out on the bridge looking up and down the river, watching for fish, listening to the birds singing, enjoying the sound of the water.
