The nice thing is that the highways are all clear because the ground was warm. I probably can't get out of my driveway for several days, but I don't care.

Another storm with just as much snow is predicted for the next couple of days.

This is a quote from an article about yesterday's snow storm has caught us up moisture-wise for the year. The speaker is Nolan Doeskin, climatologist at Colorado State University.

"Gracious, there was a nice upward turn of the graph as of Saturday," he said. "And that was before a big (mountain) storm Saturday night and Sunday morning."

Who says 'gracious' any more? It's right up there with "land sakes" and "you don't say". It reminds me of sweet old ladies sipping tea.

I kept telling people: 'the bighorn sheep are back, the mink is back - it's a sign we're going to get more precipitation this year' and then we did.

The mother of a childhood friend used to say, "My l-a-a-and." Love those pix, love that snow. Glad you are caught up.

If wishing influenced the weather, then I have been successful.

Know how welcome this snow is, Laura, so stay warm and cozy!

The most important thing is that we have a good supply of the right kind of cat food. I can eat bread and water for a week, but Eloise has to have her gravy.

Gracious you don't say 'for land sakes' anymore????

No, I forget and cuss instead.

It's falling here right now but, fortunately, almost imperceptibly. If you need it, I'm glad you're getting it.

We are hoping this snow means the side stream and waterfall will have water in them this summer. We want to get a wildlife camera and take pictures of the beavers building dams in the night.
