Here We Go

I am so sorry I missed out on seeing this in process. Loads and loads of dirt and boulders were needed to fix the side of my driveway.

Their work narrowed the river channel by at least 10 feet. This would be illegal for a civilian to do, but is okay for a public agency.

This is the river ice they broke up and moved. Look how thick it already is - formed in the last 3 or 4 weeks.

I walked all the way up to the bridge on the ice. I could hear the river under the thickness of it chuckling and gurgling.

The excavators are coming next week to work on the rest of the road.

How frustrating everything has to go so slowly. But, come spring, you should be way ahead. Are you just visiting to oversee stuff, or will you be going back to Vegas?

I'm sorry those crystal rectangles aren't quartz that will last forever.

I am so glad they are going to be there next week. Does that mean that
the propane trucks can get in?

I wish we didn't have snow cover over the area where work needs to be done - I have to remember where the dips and ankle-turning rocks are.

Just take it easy walking around out there.

Thanks! I am looking forward to it getting colder and the river ice getting thicker because I want to go stand on the other side that we can't usually get to.
