You found the secret to making Martin happy! You are talking food!

I love Thai food. I have only recently gotten into it, but I have enjoyed everything I have had.

It sounds like it is more traditional with the Bond feel of the movie than a lot of the Craig additions, which is good. Thanks for avoiding the spoilers!

I can't speak to the movie since I haven't seen it, though I definitely want to since I am a huge fan. I have loved Judi Dench as M, though I have found the movies with Daniel Craig falling a bit short. They are almost too dark, but maybe that is because they reflect our times. I don't know. I have to disagree with you about the theme song, though. I have been loving it and listening to it regularly since Adele put it out.

Lavender definitely still means gay!

I know RI will likely move from the same-sex civil union to the same-sex marriage column with this coming legislative calendar. Our Speaker at the General Assembly, an out gay man, has said that he is going to try and force the bill to the floor in the Senate (the other house). The House itself would likely pass it anyway. Our Governor ran on supporting it two years ago. If they can get it past the Senate President, we should be good.

What a great way to celebrate the election! it sounds (and looks) like you had a lot of fun.

Congrats on your first chance to vote in a Presidential election! I remember my first one ... I got to vote for Bill Clinton's re-election. It was really exciting having the chance to actually vote. I even got to do it on the old mechanical voting machines with the lever.

I don't think your reasons for your selection would offend anyone. It is an explanation based on your beliefs rather than being hostile or denigrating of the other side. No one can begrudge you that.

Of course, I wholly agree with you so I am probably not unbiased.

I hope you enjoy Footloose! I have heard it is really good.
I will definitely be voting on Tuesday. I am up for reelection to the school committee this year as well as making sure to vote on the other positions in this election from President on down!

It really does sound like a totally different movie than the one in the previews! Wow!
I probably will never see this one. There are certain actors that I find I tend to just not like the projects they choose. Ethan Hawke is one, and Denzel Washington is another. I don't think I have enjoyed a film with him in it since Glory!.

I know how you feel about the ads. I am REALLY interested in politics, and I am SOOO done with the ads. We are even getting them for the Senate race in Massachusetts next door. It seems like so many of the races have turned dirty!

Like you, I really feel lucky with how Sandy treated us. So many people are in difficult times because of it. I am glad all is well!

I am so glad that you opted to go in for treatment. My mom, who was also bipolar, had to do that from time to time, and it was really helpful. I know that it is not easy, but sometimes it is for the best.

It sounds like you have a great support system in your family. That is so crucial when dealing with any health issue. It sounds like you made arrangements to have a stong support system at your school as you continue to sort through things. The important thing is to make sure that you take advantage of that. I know you will do fine!

I have a feelig that you are right. The weather folks here in Southern New England are doing the same thing. It does seem like it is going to be more of a mild storm, but it also seems like it is going to stick around. There seems to be a lot of concern about flooding here.

I find it interesting, that they interwove the stories since I believe the book that it is based upon is a series of short stories that are fully told in whole, one at a time.
