Wildfire Smoke at Your House Now . . .

unless you live west of the Rockies.

Here is today's wildfire smoke map. We still had a slight haze today, but couldn't smell it as much as yesterday.

The map shows smoke created by wildfires. It appears that the eastern two-thirds of the United States is affected by smoke, with most of it coming from the Wallow fire in Arizona. The states of New Mexico, Arizona, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska and parts of Oklahoma and Texas are being hit the hardest.

The red dots are fires, while the smoke is green (thin), yellow (moderately dense), and purple (dense). The Wallow fire in southeast Arizona is responsible for much of the smoke in the central United States.

Looks like the smoke (green) is less than 60 miles from where I am in upstate NY. Not much to do other than hope for an early rainy season...

We had a cold front come in, cleaned out all the smoke. It's interesting to see how it builds up and disperses across the country.

It is in the 90s and hazy here. Humid, too. But I think the haze is from the mind farts that have been going-on down at our state capital since Gov. Kasich took over.

The smoke probably passed by your house unnoticed unless a person could see off into the distance.

We were warned to stay in yesterday because the wind would not be high
enough to carry the smoke away.

You're more in line for it than we are.
