Moon Shots

Here is another nice full moon picture from the Flight Aware Flight Tracking website.

Sometimes I remember to get up early enough to watch the light from the rising sun reflected on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains in northern Colorado, via the airport cam provided by Airport View. This website has a lot of information for pilots - runway specifications, weather, etc. in addition to live Internet cameras so you can see the weather for yourself.

This is Mount Meeker on the left and Longs Peak on the right. I grew up on a farm watching these mountains out our front windows from almost exactly the same distance as in this shot, and never tire of the view. Now I live very close to them in the foothills, so when I look at this picture I'm towards my current home.

I remember my last trip to the moon and being so disappointed that it wasn't made out of cheese and that there was a lady not a man in the moon!Q!!

That would be disappointing. Didn't Wallace and Grommit leave a robot thing that looked like an oven up there?

Lonely airplane in the night, all the plans and dreams of the passengers, heading toward the future.

Beautiful pictures. Last week we could see the crescent moon with Jupiter right below and Venus right below Jupiter. So bright and clear without a telescope.

A bright planet near the crescent moon always speaks to me, a romantic notion.
