Weather report: it has been unseasonably warm in Las Vegas this fall. The leaves are starting to turn color on the trees, but meanwhile the daily highs are in the high 80s sometimes close to 100 degrees. Folks are complaining about allergies.
This is the pool at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Las Vegas. He's been staying there some lately, so I hope he's been taking pictures of the rooms.


If the recession hadn't come along and put a crimp in financial things for Las Vegas, the Imperial Palace would have been imploded by now. It is dump-esque.
Actually, the decline of investment in Las Vegas is not all due to the American economy. The big gaming companies are putting their money into building properties in Macau and other Asian venues. Another downer for Las Vegas is the imminent legalization of online gambling in the United States. The town is going to struggle to remain viable.
