Favorite Places to Visit: Pinball Hall of Fame

If Mr. Traveltales dies before me, I'm giving the Las Vegas house to the Pinball Hall of Fame at 3330 E. Tropicana Ave. in Las Vegas.

Many years ago the Hall of Fame sponsored a pinball tournament at the Riviera in Las Vegas. It was a giant hotel ball room filled with hundreds of pinball machines of all ages - on free-play! It was a dream come true.

What if they all went TILT simultaneously?? Would it alter the earth's orbit? I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU HAD TWO BLOGS, YOU RASCAL.

Actually three - one for recipes. I get lazy about logging in and out to respond to comments. It probably confuses people, i.e.: why is that goofy troutbend always doing the replies, and why is traveltales not replying?

I had a little toy pinball machine when I was a kid. I wasn't any good at it then either.

It's important to learn how to nudge without tilting the machine. (as if a playing tip is going to encourage you to take up the sport)

I take my grandson to a place called Nickel City. All games are either a nickel or free. It is bedlam in there.

That's a great price. We don't see much pinball in the arcades any more because they are harder to maintain than video games. I remember one arcade in Florida that had the Theater of Magic pinball, but it was just deafening in that room, should have had ear plugs.

Can't wait to get to Las Vegas with the cat and show her out pinball machine. Buddy used to enjoy trying to catch the metal balls through the glass.

Geez.. I think Martin is right about the noise!

Arcades tend to turn up the sound too loud, but I know what you mean.

The day we brought home our Rocky and Bullwinkle pinball machine we played it for hours, and I couldn't get the music out of my head for days after that.
