Easter Travel Plans

No, I'm not going anywhere this coming weekend, but Mr. Traveltales is going to Harrahs Casino/Hotel in Laughlin, Nevada for the weekend. He's taking his mountain bike to do some riding.

The Colorado River there is crystal clear and they have a sandy beach.

Our cat Chitty will have to fend for herself. Maybe she'll go back to her real home.

Is the water level in the Colorado River being affected by the drought? I saw pictures of Lake Mead and it looks like it is getting smaller.

I have weekend plans too. I'll be moving my wheel out on the deck to sit and spin in the sunny, warm weather that is predicted.

For several years there was always something new and flashy coming along, but then the recession came, and not much going on. Now, some new projects have been announced, so it's getting lively again.

I hope Gary has a good time and is super lucky!

He'd better hit a jackpot early on, because his bank balance is low until the first of the month when his pension comes in. I didn't realize it until yesterday when it was too late to send him a check. Well, he's taking his bike so he can do some sightseeing and sit on the beach in the sun.

Is he bowling there?

No, and that reminds me: there just was a tournament in Las Vegas this past week, and apparently he ignored it. Not that it matters, because the entry fees are $200 - $300 and although he'll come close, he hasn't cashed in a tournament in many years. I never mention that to him, though, because he deserves to cling to the dream.
