It has been a lot of long days lately. I have been getting up at 4:30 AM for a few weeks now. I am enjoying getting my days started early. I seem to get a great deal done early in the mornings before the days get hectic.
I have a very good life. It is almost a great life. I have my ups and downs. I still get depressed for no reason. The one thing that seems to not be working in my life is relationships. I have had this thing going with Alex for a few months now. He has been down to visit a few times, missed a few times because he would rescheduled or the flights were booked. It seemed to be doing well. On Tuesday, he was informed that as of July 1 he is being transferred to Honolulu. He is very excited. Who would not be excited about living in Hawaii? The problem is, that we will see exponentially less of each other now. I checked flights and it is a 14 hour trip from Honolulu to here, with layovers and what not. Since he cannot fly on days he works, that means out of the 48 hours he has off, 28 would be spent flying. Since you can't fly anytime, he would most likely not be able to visit at all. So, it seems like that has run it's course now too.
It is a nice soft night here tonight. It would be a good night to go sit out on the patio and have a cigar and sip some 25 year old Single Malt, but wait... I quit drinking. I do have a few very fine cigars though. Maybe I'll put some blues on the iPod and go out and enjoy a Zino Platinum Barrel. In my opinion, the finest non-cuban cigar in the world.
In this month's issue of Playgirl (July 2008) check out my friend Michael. I don't know the page since I haven't seen it yet but look for Shawn, that is what he usually goes by.
I found out yesterday that we will probably set the record for the most material bought from our supplier in a years time. Not bad for just our second full year in business. I recently picked up 2 million dollars in work. They were two very sought after projects and I landed them both. I am a great salesman. My partner tells me I am the best closer he has ever seen. I try.
My knee has been bothering me. I guess all the pounding on the concrete is getting to it. I recently bought some new New Balance walking shoes. I think that should help. I went and got a massage this afternoon. I had been very sore. My legs, back, butt...all had been hurting lately. The damn masseuse worked me over. I hope I feel better in the morning.
I also need a manicure and a pedicure. I think I am going to do a pamper me day here very shortly.
Father's Day is Sunday. The first time I preached was on Father's Day, 1996. I am still not speaking with my father. The only regret I have about that is that he doesn't call, write or see his grandaughter that always asks about him. He is a prick.
I guess that is about it for today, sportsfans.
Peace
