A Stinky Story

I've had several days to think about the news that Osama Bin Laden was assassinated. There's something cockeyed and cockamamie about that story, folks.

The exact sequence of events has been revised several times; then a photo of the corpse was going to be released to the press, then was suppressed. Photos of a dead body won't cause any American nightmares--not after decades of Steven King movies and CSI episodes. So what if the photos would agitate his followers? They're agitated already, and Americans who had to deal with the remains of their loved ones in the aftermath of 9/11 deserve to see the sob dead.

But the burial at sea was an outrageous story. Surely the body of Bin Laden would have been given over to American forensic pathologists in the U.S. for a detailed autopsy. That burial at sea story following a Muslim ceremony was ridiculous. What hooey. Our government expects Americans to swallow hook line and sinker any pap fed to them. It's insulting.

Also, Bin Laden had a twin brother--how do they know it wasn't the twin who was shot? Identical twins have identical DNA. And Bin Laden was on dialysis--this medical procedure must be done at least three times a week to stay alive. Was a dialysis machine or peritoneal dialysis equipment found in the compound? I'd like to know that.
Otherwise, this story has as many holes ans Swiss cheese, and stinks like Limberger.

Bin Laden's father had many wives. Osama's mother was not the most favored. I think he grew up untended in the way that counts to a Saudi (no father involvement). The only reference I found when I googled him was to a half brother. What is harder for me to believe than what we are being told is that Obama would lie about something like that. No way. I think any details being withheld are not relevant to the basic facts. We killed him. We buried him at sea. It was a coup. We were due.

Laura has the perfect solution. We are throwing away twenty billion dollars
to a government that hates us and our people are still getting killed. Bring them home!!!

The facts you cite were never corroborated. I googled bin Laden. In all the entries the only mention of "twin" was about the towers. Surely if there was any merit, more than one site would have something about the suspicion of it if not the fact. They took DNA from the body for forensics. The decision to bury him at sea was to avoid a shrine and deprive his followers from forming a new mecca. I don't need to see his dead body. The paper data and computerized stuff gotten from the hideout are providing us with a great deal of information. Don't believe everything is a hoax. His followers have accepted that he is dead and they would never have done that if they didn't believe it.

Hi teal; I saw the story about Bin Laden's twin a couple of times on History Channel or Nat'l Geographic channel a few years ago.
I'm not believing everything is a hoax--but to believe our government 100% on what realyy happened etc.--no way. You have to have a kernel of skepticism.

I agree, T.

I try not to think about it, avoid the national/world news as much as possible, but then I'll catch some little nugget, and I'm like you - hmmm, that sounds a little odd, I'll say to myself. I say lets go cold turkey on foreign aid to Pakistan and pack up and leave Afghanistan - apply the money saved to the deficit.

Agree with everything you've said--susil.
