Well, Hello Again!
Finally figured out what the glitch was in my old pc: I missed blogging a lot! I do wish Eddie would have responded to my plea to see if the problem was with mybloggers, but he did not.
This morning I woke to the smell of smoke--that's one odor that will make you move in a hurry. Everything was okay inside, so I went outside and saw clouds of smoke being blown my way. The man next door is clearing some land and is burning off piles of timber detritus. I don't mind that.
Well folks, there's a lot of strum and drang in the lives of people I come in contact with lately--maybe it's the protracted war, the recession, the heat, the unease and unrest in society in general, external factors such as these, that add to the tumult and turmoil in people's lives.
Then I remember thinking when I was in Hawaii, how could anyone be unhappy in that paradise--yet there's as much crime and drugs and the whole schmear right there in paradise as there is anywhere else.
BTW, last night saw "From Here To Eternity" on TCM. It was set in Hawaii just prior to Pearl Harbor being bombed. Whoo boy, that Burt Lancaster was so good looking, and one of the most famous scenes in movie history shows the buff bodied Lancaster in swim trunks rolling in the surf with co-star Deborah Kerr. Good film.
Tx for reading, susil
always thought that the Burt Lancaster-Deborah Kerr scene was much sexier
than the see it all sessions in the movies now.
