I had things to do today-- but first had to call and apologize to a friend for getting too--too--well, I guess you could call it too opinionated on a subject we were talking about three days ago. "Connie" has an elderly aunt "Betty" whom she visits twice a month. Connie offers to do light cleanup when she visits, but Betty usually refuses.
But three days ago Connie says her aunt's place smelled bad and she found old unwashed dishes in the sink, and signs of vermin so she put on gloves and cleaned for five hours. Next she wants to clean under the sinks, where mice signs are rampant. I was alarmed and said you need a hazmat suit to do that--goggles, gloves a hairnet and mask--you could get the Hanta virus messing around where mice are. I don't want anything to happen to Connie.
When Connie doesn't want to hear what I have say, she overtalks me and argues with me, and pretty soon we're going round and round. She knows I'm right but she doesn't like me to be right. Two hard heads clashing. Finally I said in a snit, okay I won't say another word, and we hung up. But I called and apologized and things are kinda patched for now. I have GOT to learn to keep my mouth shut.
