Hello from the land of dull and boring.
I was thinking of what I did yesterday that anyone would have any interest in reading--zilch. But I'm gonna tell ya anyway. I started off by calling the Mississippi Public Service Commission to ask why I'm getting telemarketer calls and I'm supposed to be on the Do Not Call list.
Well, they said I was already on the Mississippi Do Not Call list. But undoubtedly not on the national list because I'm getting calls.
Made some salmon patties and potato salad, then gathered up all the household trash and put it out. Talked to a friend on the phone while drinking some herbal tea, Pure Peach, I found at Wallymart--love that stuff.
Sorted out clothes to launder, did some crosswords, too while still talking. I can't stand to watch TV or talk on the phone unless I'm doing something else.
Took a nap. Tried to fix a quartz heater. I couldn't get it to turn on, and I was ready to throw it out with the trash. Took a screwdriver and took the top off and found the problem in the turn on knob--ease the pressure off it, and it worked fine, so I replaced the top and don't try to turn it on or off anymore--plug and unplug only from now on.
Then late in the day when it was cold and beginning to get foggy, went to the store and post office to mail a bill. Stopped for a train crossing the RR tracks--I love trains, and a train with that lonesome whistle disappearing down a long track in the fog was melancholy and beautiful.
Had to slow down for a deer--they're in rutting season now and are as wild and heedless as teenagers on hormone overload.
That's it. See why social networking has no appeal for me? What is everybody on Facebook has as dull a life as myself?
bye for now, susil
