Since her belly dancing performance, we signed Kitty up for a two-month belly and African dance class. It meets once a week, on Mondays, in the school gym after school. One of those teachers has been taking her home for a while after class, until I am out of work and can pick her up.

Because I was at home today, Dolly asked me to arrange my schedule so I could get her directly after the class to surprise. I showed up at the appointed time, only to get a very disappointed look when I walked in the door. She was looking forward to going to the other girl's house and playing there. Another girl was going as well, so the prospect of playing with them outnumbered me. It was okay with me. It was just not what Dolly has envisioned.
