Two months ago I started taking Shorinji Kempo classes. It's combination of karate and aikido, and it has been frustrating in the last few weeks. There is so much to learn to get started. I get the impression from the teacher that everything is easy and I should be able to pick it up easily, but there is a method that underlies every technique. I am still trying to incorporate that into everything. I hope my frustration will clear up after that method becomes second nature and, after that learning curve is past, then it will be easier for me, but I suspect I need to learn to be more patient with the learning process overall.
