The plan was not to stay the night at TBDs but after pasta and wine for dinner I was super sleepy and ended up falling asleep. He tucked me in and set an alarm for me to wake up early.
I woke up a minute or two before the alarm and got ready to leave for my first back to back spin class. TBD woke up with the alarm and gave me a kiss goodbye and off I went. I had already planned out the route to avoid the LA Marathon and made it to the other gym with lots of time to spare.
The desk staff was cold at first but I warmed them up quickly and the girl gave me a free class. This branch of the gym charges twelve dollars for each spin class. Wow, there were nasty rumors of that happening at my gym but everyone talked boycotts and the rumors were put to rest. It was great that I only had to pay for one as I thought it was going to be six dollars a class anyway.
I sat next to the instructor's twin sister and she encouraged me the whole way through both classes as I had announced to her and the instructor that this was my first double.
I found that the first hour was harder than the second and I peddled all the way through the two hours in perfect form. I wasn't sure if I was up for a double but now I know that I am! It was fantastic and I can't believe how amazing I felt after. Of course, now I'm lethargic. But it was worth it!
P.S. I forgot to mention that the instructor turned off the lights and we did the cycle class in the dark. That was totally cool because I found myself concentrating more on my workout.
