Saturday morning. I am going back to work today, I guess I have to some time. I have been off work since last Sunday, and I must admit I could get use to being off. Retirement is about 13 months off.
I received an email from my old friend Mike. For those of you that don't know the full story, Mike was in Vietnam with me, and is the only guy that I have any contact with.
Anyway, Mike and his wife were at the local Minnesota casino where they won $2400. Mike being a big Minnesota Twins fan, decided that they would make a trip to Ft. Meyers to spring training.
Pat and I am going to try and drive down and visit with them for a day while they are in the state. It will be about a 5 hour drive, but that is better than driving to Minnesota. It has been 38 years since we in Vietnam togeather, but we have exchanged photos, and phone calls so our looks won't surprise each other.
I hope the eye feels better in time for the drive.
