I have always said that some people have more money than cents...uh "sense", that is! That was confirmed by an article I read in today's Dallas Morning News about a woman who got scammed by an online dating service called "Dallas Singles". The woman paid this group, actually two men, $13,400 upfront for 30 dates. Now, she wants her money back.
Turns out these two shysters have been ripping people off for twenty years under a variety of dating service scams. Â How dumb can some people be??
And what about the woman I read about today who got bumped recently from a Southwest Airlines flight for "showing too much cleavage".   Must have been some Republican Baptist sexless spinster sitting next to her. I'm sure none of the men aboard were complaining! At any rate, the airline later apologized. Presumably, she was further pacified with some free airline tickets. Be interesting to know how much cleavage she plans to show next time she flies America's skies with the Dallas-based airline.
A grand jury indictment has been issued for the perpetrator(s) who killed and skinned the rare white buffalo at the Lakota ranch near Dallas. Though the county constable is not yet ready to release names, he did state that he anticipates an arrest in the near future.
In "Dear Abby" today, a letter from a woman who took her two-timing husband back when his "twenty-something" girlfriend dumped him once she went through his money. Now the wife has caught him e-mailing another woman half his age, asking her to meet him. As Holly is fond of saying.."Once a cheater, always a cheater."
In addition, the doping story about Lance Armstrong just WILL NOT die. Another article in today's paper stating that, according to some sources, certain members of his former team are now prepared to testify that he did indeed take performance-enhancing drugs during his phenomenal career. He still vehemently denies those charges. Meanwhile, those individuals, now part of other racing teams currently competing in the Tour de France, refused to speak to the press. Who knows how this story will finally play out.
Finally, the Dallas Mavericks are decimated, having lost two of their starters in a team already weakened by free agents who went elsewhere in 2011 after the Mav's won the NBA championship. Now, it's just Dirk Nowitski and the four wanna' be's. Meanwhile, owner Mark Cuban is off somewhere competing on a reality show. Better come home, Mark, and start throwing some of your billions around.....FAST!
That's it for now! See you next week from Dallas!
