Democrats Playing Right into Mccain's Hands

Barak Obama wishes news commentators, newspapers, and internet sources would get "off" Sarah Palin's case. McCain, on the other hand, loves having Palin "out front" with the news media.

McCain is betting Palin can ride out the criticisms and every day that he can keep her on the front page is one less day that Obama has to attack McCain's weakest links--his ties to George Bush and his less-than-stellar command of the issues. Obama, meanwhile, wants McCain back in the forefront, so that he can debate the real issues of the country with him to expose his weaknesses. So, Democratic bloggers, if you are spending your time attacking Palin, you are doing McCain a world of good. Time to let it go and get McCain back in front.

McCain is first and foremost not the intellect Obama is. While McCain graduated next to last in his class at the naval academy--had McCain's father and grandfather not been admirals, he probably would not have got into the Academy in the first place--,Obama graduated near the top of his class at Harvard Law School

McCain will open mouth and insert foot if given the opportunity. He already has made several quaffs regarding Iraq and Iran; in addition, he recently stated that, if elected, he would "repeal" Roe vs. Wade.

Evidently, he does not realize that one cannot "repeal" a Supreme Court decision. The Supreme Court has the last word, within the American judicial system, on questions of constitutional interpretation. However, a Supreme Court decision regarding interpretation of the Constitution can be overturned by a constitutional amendment. That takes a vote in 2/3 of the state legislatures and it must pass those 2/3 states by a 3/4 majority. A Court decision on interpretation of federal laws can be overturned by Congressional enactment of a new law. That's simple Government 101.

Save me from such incompetence from a man who believes he is qualified to be President of this country. And, yes, I would feel exactly the same if we had a Democratic candidate who did not know that one cannot repeal a Supreme Court decision.

So, let's leave Palin alone and quit worrying about her little faux paus up in Alaska. We need the focus back on McCain. He will defeat himself if we can keep him talking.

Something To Think About: George Bush was a "C" student at Yale; Bill Clinton was a Harvard law graduate and a Rhodes scholar. We need the brightest people we can possibly elect to lead our country out of this mess.site stats

Voting for "Obama" myself. I am a "democrat". I didn't (and kinda still don't) think the country is "really" ready for a "Black" President (for various reasons, none preduice on my part). I do however feel he is far better then McCain and Paulin (I truely wanted Hillary). McCain will be just like "Bush".. which we managed to survive,, but fluccked us small peeps. In other words.. he had enough experience that we lived. In "poverty, but we lived.. lol". Paulin.. she has like "Zero experience. ya know peeps.. "0"... "ZERO"!!!! lol. When McCain has his heart attack 3 months in office, do you really want this "swing set stealing little girl" running our country? WORLD??? I don't... I remember the type from 5th grade... fluckked me in the head to this day (those types...)..

Anyway.. they will screw themselves. Obama will be President... any logical person knows that by now. So... no worries really...

Luv ya all.. Gary

I think the reason there has been such a focus on Palin is that it is very probable that she will end up being our President. I can't begin to tell you what a horror that would be.

I had my own ocmments about the dems constantly bring up everything about Palin https://mybloggers.com/whereabouts/note_liberals_palin.html . While the focus wasn't the same as yours, essentially, I agreed with what you are saying and that it's the Dems that are keeping the news away from the real issues of McCain and Obama by constantly bring everything Sarah Palin to the surface so the media can run with it.

I think McCain was on his own today and he had a much much smaller crowd! He is relying on Palin for the excitement! I read Arianna Huffington and it's funny... She said every minute spent on Palin was a minute wasted. Her next article was on Palin! People seem to be fixated on her. We MUST get back on message!!!!

Yes, it does seem that now it is Palin for President. I think she is in way over her head. I just don't think that being governor of a large state with a small population has prepared her to be VP.

I watched Palin's interview on ABC Nightly News. She was flustered and oddly unable to handle the questions, which were tough as they should be, and she showed a lack of understanding some questions. She would make a good PTA president but not the second in command of the United States.

I agree. Even though I hold s dim view of all politicians(save for myself, of course), I believe the McCane campaign is showing the worst in American politics. Mr. Obama seems to want to stick to the issues while McCane keeps going for the lowest common demoninator. The Karl Rove
School of campaigning. As far as intelect goes, I also agree that we need the best and brightest to lead. The last thing we need is another dumbass in the White House who barely graduated(and then due to influencial parents [McCane's father and grandfather were admirals;Bush's family was rich and influential]). Mr. Obama didn't have such advantages and he graduated in the top of his Harvard Law School class. No mean feat, lemme tell ya. I don't agree with every posistion Mr. Obama takes but I believe he will be the better choice....IN 8 YEARS because I am gonna win in November

You are right, completely right here. I have noticed though, and its strange (though it seems most conservative republicans view the world through the "looking glass" anyway, all backwards), they seem to think this is a Palin/McCain and not McCain/Palin. She is all they seem to want to think about, probably because they know McSame sucks too.
