I applied for a position at an upcoming college of design in Monrovia. It's less than 10 miles away, but the description is helping students map out their classes as they pursue design.

It may not be paying much, but by now, any income would be a contribution, so . . .

Noticed there are 8 alumni from my school on their faculty - so perhaps there is a pretty good chance?

This is an aside, but can't help wondering why the job market insists on certain jobs requiring 2 skill sets. I mean, now it's hard to find a job that had definition 20+ yrs ago.

Example: to be a secretary meant doing everything your boss didn't need to be bothered with. Today, it's not enough to be a mere secretary. You have to have accounting skills - before they even sniff your resume.

Graphic design positions have become a duality. Not only do you have to know everything about printed matter, you must know how to make it move in dazzling ways.
