Siya joined the Asian Absolute Beijing team as a designer two months after the office was opened and is one of the longest serving members of the production team.

Over the past years Siya has become a key member of Asian Absolute's DTP team, providing crucial support to operations manager Aileen Yang, as well as sharing her knowledge and experience with junior members of the team. Day to day, Siya works on some of the most intricate typesetting jobs that the company handles, as well as designing visuals for creative marketing projects. Siya has also contributed to the design of much of Asian Absolute's own marketing collateral.

She is originally from Hubei - south of Beijing on the Yangtze River - but has lived in Beijing for the past six years. After completing school in Hubei, Siya studied advertisement design at the Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology and, on graduating, began a career in print design. Before joining Asian Absolute, she worked in a number of Beijing advertising and media companies, providing creative design and co-ordinating typesetting for magazines and consumer marketing campaigns. Most recently, she completed a large amount of work on a Coca-Cola advertising account, for which she designed a range of materials from posters through to supermarket mail-outs and price tags.

Outside of work Siya enjoys mountain climbing and hiking, as well as computer games when she is feeling less energetic! She continues to study English, which enables her to handle a large number of localisation projects in conjunction with colleagues in London, and to socialise with London staff when they visit Beijing.
