Well, we just enjoyed 2 weeks of pleasant weather and are now heading into a heat spell.
One of the things Californians face besides earthquakes are fires. Fortunately, the Mt. Baldy fire didn't threaten humans or their homes . . . but you know how it impacts the wildlife when fires occur.
What I don't get are arsonists. I mean, what is their mentality? So often, the news covers churches, commercial buildings, and the forests as damage done by an arsonist.
The Mt. Baldy fire began as a smoldering area that turned into expansive acres, singed. Hundreds of firefighters responded to this with a sober cost on many levels.
